1 dead as accident cuts power west of Reno and stops McCarran traffic

RENO, Nevada (KOLO) –UPDATE 22:50: A driver has died following an accident on Wednesday night on McCarran Boulevard and Plumb Lane.

The Reno Police Department said a Subaru was heading south on McCarran Boulevard at around 10:11 p.m. when the driver attempted to either turn left at Plumb Lane or make a U-turn.

The Subaru was “boned” by a Chevrolet Tahoe sport utility vehicle. The Subaru driver died in the accident. Tahoe’s driver was not taken to hospital for treatment.
