Road closed after overturned car crash on East Providence Avenue

SPOKANE, WA (December 23, 2021) – Four people were injured in a rollover collision on Nevada Street on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred just after 5:00 p.m. along N. Nevada Street and E. Providence Avenue. Emergency teams responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, two vehicles collided in the area, under unclear circumstances. The accident caused one of the cars to overturn and enter the fence at Longfellow Elementary School.

In addition, rescuers freed at least one trapped person in the vehicle.

Paramedics located at least four injured people at the scene. Meanwhile, authorities blocked off the area for clean-up operations before it later reopened.

Authorities have not released any additional information at this time. However, the cause of the accident and the factors involved are still under investigation.
