I am excited to share that I have been chosen as a semi-finalist for the 2024 GE-Reagan Scholarship, alongside other outstanding individuals. Being considered for this prestigious scholarship that recognizes students who demonstrate leadership, character, and commitment to community service is an honor. It's heartwarming to see my friends from the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Coolidge Declamation finals being recognized with the same honor. This is a testament to the incredible work we are doing in our communities nationwide. I can't wait to see what's next! Congratulations and best of luck to my fellow semi-finalists! Thank you, GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program!#GEReaganScholarship #SemiFinalist

When I was a senior in high school I applied for probably 10 - 20 different scholarships, and luckily received many of them. Usually, all it took was writing a short essay, and to be honest, I was shocked at how EASY it was. Those scholarships helped me pay for books and supplies during my freshman year of college. The cost of college and higher education can be incredibly expensive, but there are always resources that can help parents and students ease the burden. Below is a list of six scholarships, some for up to $10,000, and children as young as 5 years old can apply! Most only require a short essay and the time it takes to write it. From an investment perspective, this is a no-brainer - no downside risk, and a lot of upside potential. 👇

Sidra Khalid 18G, 40 Under Forty honoree, reflects on her experience as a young college student at Emory, ready to learn what it takes to be successful. “At 20, I was eager to have everything planned out and to know exactly what I needed to do to be successful. Ultimately, I've learned that life rarely follows a linear path, and it's okay not to have everything figured out when you’re younger.”Learn more about our honorees here: https://bit.ly/4c8KPOd

In navigating the roles of Vice President of Indigenous Engagement and President within the Graduate Student Association, I've come to understand the profound importance of speaking one's truth and embracing authenticity. Our journey through graduate studies, much like life itself, necessitates introspection and a willingness to confront our actions, especially when they may have caused harm. Recognizing the need for correction and growth is not a sign of weakness but rather a testament to our capacity for reflection and evolution. As we prepare to transition from academia to the broader world beyond, we must carry forward the lessons learned and the values upheld during our time in graduate studies. Our actions here ripple into the future, shaping the communities we inhabit and the impact we leave behind. Let us strive to act with integrity, not for self-aggrandizement, but for the collective betterment of society. In doing so, we honour our true selves and contribute to a world guided by compassion, understanding, and respect.nakoniyihitotin (We are all one/related),
