Jordan Henderson played a key role in Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Southampton and spoke to the media after the game.

Our captain praised what has been a great week at Anfield with 10 goals scored and 0 conceded, out of three big wins.

Of course, the key now is to keep that shape and make sure we tackle the holiday season with everything we have.

He said: “The level of performance has been very high in the last few matches, decent team defense, a threat to the future, good football at times and so overall we are having a good time and we must continue like this.

“I know how quickly football can change, so we have to keep the momentum and keep consistency and we have a big game afterwards, which is important.”

With the next match being the Merseyside derby at Goodison, Jurgen Klopp’s men have a chance to get revenge against Rafa Benitez’s Everton.

Virgil van Dijk’s injury, the injustice of the disallowed goal, the injury of Thiago Alcantara and then the loss of Anfield should all be enough to combine with our solid form and hopefully produce a positive result through Stanley Park.

Fingers crossed, we continue our winning race.

MIKE HENDERSON: The best word | Faith and values http://fivecountyfair.org/mike-henderson-the-best-word-faith-and-values/ Fri, 26 Nov 2021 18:30:00 +0000 http://fivecountyfair.org/mike-henderson-the-best-word-faith-and-values/

Journalist, author and poet Rudyard Kipling was one of the most popular writers of his time.

His books and poems have had enormous popular appeal. Like many popular authors today, however, it was often looked down upon and ridiculed by some academics who considered it “too common” to have any real depth. One story goes that it was reported that Kipling, at his height, received 10 shillings per word for his stories. At that time, at the turn of the 20th century, 10 shillings was the average daily wage for a skilled craftsman. In South Carolina, it would cost around $ 200 today. Pretty good pay for a word.

Some Oxford students who did not think highly of Kipling sent him a letter. They said, “Dear Mr. Kipling, we understand that you are paid 10 shillings per word for your stories. We are just a bunch of poor Oxford students, but we were able to collect the 10 shillings included. Please send us your best word. A few days later, the students received an envelope from Rudyard Kipling. There was a card with a note on it. He said “Thank you”.

Kipling was right. Thank you is the best word. Studies have shown that people who regularly practice gratitude are healthier, happier, have a more positive outlook on life, and tend to accomplish more than others. Positive things move them forward and negative things don’t hold them back. Physically, gratitude releases dopamine and serotonin in the brain, which makes you feel better. Relationshipally, grateful people have stronger friendships and those relationships last longer. Marriages in which partners focus on the things for which they are grateful are more fulfilling and have less conflict. Spiritually, gratitude promotes humility, peace, contentment, and bliss.

Inter Milan ‘interested’ in signing Dean Henderson from Manchester United, other transfer rumors http://fivecountyfair.org/inter-milan-interested-in-signing-dean-henderson-from-manchester-united-other-transfer-rumors/ Thu, 25 Nov 2021 03:30:00 +0000 http://fivecountyfair.org/inter-milan-interested-in-signing-dean-henderson-from-manchester-united-other-transfer-rumors/

Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

According to Fichajes the Italian champions see the 24-year-old as the ideal long-term replacement for veteran stopper Samir Handanovic.

The 37-year-old appears to be on the verge of leaving San Siro and Inter are hoping to secure United’s second-choice goalkeeper services either in January or in the summer.

Henderson has struggled to gain playing time this season, having only made one appearance for United in their Carabao Cup loss to West Ham in September.

Last quarter he made 26 appearances in all competitions and apparently usurped David de Gea as the club’s first choice, but the Spaniard has firmly recovered as United’s No.1.

Inter have brought a number of United’s outcasts to Italy in recent years, including Alexis Sanchez, Ashley Young, Romelu Lukaku and Matteo Darmian.

However, the Italian giants could face competition for Henderson’s signing as he has also been linked with moves to Tottenham, Newcastle and Barcelona.

Meanwhile, the Reds are reportedly interested in signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as a replacement for Paul Pogba, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

According to the Corriere della Serra, relayed by Sports witness, United see the Serbian as the answer to their central midfield problems, but they face competition from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for his signing.

The Lazio star arrived at Stadio Olimpico in 2015 from Belgian side Genk and established himself as one of Italy’s most consistent midfielders, making 264 appearances for the Serie A side, scoring 50 goals and notching 43 assists.

The Serbian has also been selected 28 times by his country and was linked with a move to Old Trafford when Jose Mourinho managed the club.

However, United are reportedly interested in bringing Milinkovic-Savic to the Theater of Dreams this summer, a logical move given that Pogba is set to leave the club for a free transfer without having signed a new deal so far.

Madrid and PSG have both been linked with moves for the Frenchman but could target Milinkovic-Savic if they miss the United star.

It’s not OK for armed kids like Kyle Rittenhouse to patrol the streets http://fivecountyfair.org/its-not-ok-for-armed-kids-like-kyle-rittenhouse-to-patrol-the-streets/ Tue, 23 Nov 2021 09:09:15 +0000 http://fivecountyfair.org/its-not-ok-for-armed-kids-like-kyle-rittenhouse-to-patrol-the-streets/

Like many of you, I watched the Kyle Rittenhouse trial with interest and read many stories from various publications on the case. I was not surprised when the jury found him not guilty of the deaths of two men during civil unrest in August 2020.

But my first reaction when the news broke was to wonder where the next Rittenhouse is right now. Is he (or she) somewhere in Florida? Is her acquittal the validation that a person should wear and confront protesters the next time they take to the streets?

Will the heated rhetoric over Black Lives Matter trigger their need to “help” the police if there is another protest? Or will they decide that the police won’t do the job in these situations, so an aspiring Rambo takes over?

Florida Department of Agriculture reports state received 121,272 new applications for concealed weapons or firearms licenses since June of this year. It is in addition to more than 2.4 million licenses already issued.

I’m sure Rittenhouse feared for his life when faced with Joseph Rosenbaum and Joseph huber in the midst of chaos. His defense attorney has argued forcefully that Rittenhouse has the right to defend himself.

None of this would have happened, however, if an immature 17-year-old boy had not engaged in this situation. It had nothing to do there, especially with a borrowed AR-15 style rifle designed for combat. We don’t need armed children patrolling the streets.

He did not have the training to wield such a weapon, nor the maturity to handle this situation.

Rittenhouse also lied, early and often. He testified that he was there to protect businesses and provide first aid.

Yet he had no medical training, although he claimed to be a paramedic. The company owner Rittenhouse was there to “protect”, said he had never asked for this or given permission to do so.

Rittenhouse is not a hero for what he has done, despite the efforts of clowns like Matt Gaetz and Antoine Sabatini to paint it that way. Rittenhouse made a terrible situation worse, and perhaps the worst is yet to come.

There is a marginal element who thinks it is acceptable to take matters into their own hands during riots or clashes. Rittenhouse came from Illinois to Wisconsin with this in mind.

In his mind, along with millions of others, the Second Amendment gave all the coverage he needed.

Wisconsin law says anyone under the age of 18 who owns or is armed with a dangerous weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor, but the judge Bruce schröder dismissed the charge before jurors could have a say.

Schroeder said he believed lawmakers had poorly drafted the law, leaving it open to challenge in the courts.

“I have big problems with this status, I made no secret of it from the start,” he said.

Militant judge, do you like it?

Yeah, this was all a mess from the start, and it left us each wondering what’s going on now.

Florida currently bans open porting except under specific circumstances, but Republican lawmakers routinely try to pass it through the legislature. I imagine they will be back too, maybe as early as next year.

The only thing I know is that two men died, and that wouldn’t have happened if Kyle Rittenhouse hadn’t traveled to Wisconsin. This fact is not in dispute.

Lawyer Says Rittenhouse Trial Would Have ‘Different Outcome’ With Different Jury http://fivecountyfair.org/lawyer-says-rittenhouse-trial-would-have-different-outcome-with-different-jury/ Sun, 21 Nov 2021 21:06:09 +0000 http://fivecountyfair.org/lawyer-says-rittenhouse-trial-would-have-different-outcome-with-different-jury/
  • Civil rights attorney David Henderson said Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial could have had a “very different outcome” if he had had a “different jury.”
  • Henderson suggested that people generally lack a solid understanding of self-defense laws, especially when it comes to guns.
  • Rittenhouse, 18, has been cleared of all charges related to the fatal shooting of two men in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

A civil rights attorney said Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial could have had a different outcome if it had been presented to a different jury.

Rittenhouse, 18, was acquitted of all five charges against him of carrying a gun across state borders, then shooting Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and injuring Gaige Grosskreutz. Rittenhouse said he acted in self-defense after the men attacked him.

“It was a winnable trial. With a different jury, you would have had a very different outcome,” lawyer David Henderson said Sunday. Meeting with the MSNBC press. “The law is not so much the problem as the system is the problem, and that is why we are talking about systemic injustice. The system is the problem with the way this matter was handled.”

Henderson said the future of the civil rights movement will continue to rest on activism and people taking to the streets to defend voting rights and police reform. Extremism experts have suggested that Rittenhouse’s acquittal could lead to more street violence and self-defense in future protests and protests, Insider’s Kieran Press-Reynolds reported.

“There is an inherent conflict when you have laws ‘on your own land’ in open transportation states where you have political divisions,” Henderson said. “And now you know that when you do activism you’re going to see people show up with guns in situations where they’re volatile enough that people start shooting.”

“Hold on” laws exist to some extent in 30 states, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd said on the show. The laws justify the use of lethal force and do not force people to retreat if they fear they are in danger.

Henderson drew an analogy to Rittenhouse’s defense using fists instead of guns, saying if he was threatened by someone running towards him and responded by hitting him once and then beating him to death .

“What other choice did I have? ”Henderson asked, using the analogy. “That’s basically what Rittenhouse’s defense was. At the end of the day, you just have someone running you aggressively, 5’3”, never physically touching you, never physically touching your gun. ”

A witness at the trial said that Joseph Rosenbaum, one of the men who was shot and killed, pursued Rittenhouse and rushed to his gun. It was at this point that the witness said he saw Rittenhouse move the weapon out of Rosenbaum’s reach and fire, Insider’s Michelle Mark reported.

Henderson went on to suggest that Rittenhouse could have “backed down” in the face of the confrontation.

“The law of self-defense and the defense of your land in Wisconsin actually allows the jury to consider – when you assess whether what Rittenhouse did was reasonable – the law that was given to the jury allows you to determine whether or not what Rittenhouse did was reasonable. he should or should not have backed down. “said Henderson.

]]> Maguire, Henderson, Aubameyang: who is the best captain in the Premier League? http://fivecountyfair.org/maguire-henderson-aubameyang-who-is-the-best-captain-in-the-premier-league/ Sat, 20 Nov 2021 07:07:18 +0000 http://fivecountyfair.org/maguire-henderson-aubameyang-who-is-the-best-captain-in-the-premier-league/

What does it take to be a captain in the premier league?

First of all, you have to be extremely talented to play in the most competitive league in world football.

But what sort of personality do you need to have?

In truth, captains come in all shapes and sizes.

Some like to do all the shouting and motivational speeches in the locker room and on the pitch. Some are calmer and like to lead by example on the pitch.

But who is the “best” Premier League captain?

Well it was a question that Mirror tried to answer. However, they took it a step further and decided to rank all Premier League captains from worst to best based solely on their current playing ability.

The results? We’ll take a look:

Quiz: Can you name the English club playing in this stadium?

20. Fernandinho

The captain of the champions in the 20th? However, the Brazilian is far from a regular these days.

19. Marc Noble

The same can be said of Noble in West Ham. His missed penalty in the last minute against Manchester United will always haunt him.

18. Moussa Sissoko

Claudio Ranieri seems to have immediately signed captain Sissoko in the summer at Vicarage Road. But the 32-year-old isn’t the type to take a game by the neck.

17. Luka Milivojevic

The Crystal Palace captain also struggles to play every game, with Patrick Vieira often preferring James McArthur.

16. Grant Hanley

Hanley has a tough job to do to help keep Norwich under Dean Smith.

15. Tyrone Ming

The England international was abandoned by Smith towards the end of his reign and Steven Gerrard has previously said Mings must “prove he can be the right man” for captain Aston Villa.

Tyrone ming

14. Harry Maguire

Maguire suffered a truly disappointing campaign at club level. Now is the time to show why he is the Man Utd captain.

13. Jamaal Lascelles

Will Lascelles remain at the club – let alone captain – when Newcastle start spending money?

12. Liam Cooper

Cooper has played every Premier League game this season and was club captain for almost seven years at Leeds.

11. Seamus Coleman

Now 33, Coleman is no longer the player he once was, but he has been a great servant of the club.

10. Pontus Jansson

The Swede has only missed eight minutes of Premier League football this season as he seeks to get Brentford to safety.

Pontus Jansson

9. Hugo Lloris

The goalkeeper has been Tottenham captain since 2015 and is now expected to play an important role under Antonio Conte’s tutelage.

8. Ben Mee

Mee embodies the Burnley side of Sean Dyche, being unspectacular but reliable.

7. Conor Coady

Coady was called up to the England squad thanks to his performances on the pitch. Off the pitch, the Wolves skipper is one of the most likely people in football.

6. Kasper Schmeichel

Schmeichel became Leicester captain for good this summer following the departure of Wes Morgan. The 35-year-old is an imposing presence in goal.

5. James Ward-Prowse

It looked like Ward-Prowse could leave Southampton this summer, but the 27-year-old remains the club’s captain under Ralph Hasenhuttl. He is a great player and a great leader.

James ward-prowse

4. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Arsenal skipper doesn’t appear to be a captain, but maybe Mikel Arteta’s decision was to help him stay motivated and well behaved. He led by example, scoring seven goals in 11 matches in all competitions.

3. Lewis Dunk

Dunk has played every minute of Brighton’s very respectable season so far. He’s a fantastic defender and a hero at the Amex.

2. Cesar Azpilicueta

The 32-year-old leads Chelsea’s title challenge this season. However, the Spaniard has been back and forth on Thomas Tuchel’s side in recent weeks. But he’s the perfect captain, ready to play in a variety of positions and is as passionate as they come. He lifted the Champions League last season.

1. Jordan Henderson

Henderson is a good leader. Again, like many on this list, he’s not always guaranteed a place in his team’s starting XI. But when it starts you know you will get 110% of it. He will go down in Liverpool history for being the man to finally win this Premier League trophy. He also led Liverpool to Champions League glory.

Henderson approves signaling plan for Silver Knights arena despite opposition http://fivecountyfair.org/henderson-approves-signaling-plan-for-silver-knights-arena-despite-opposition/ Wed, 17 Nov 2021 01:14:00 +0000 http://fivecountyfair.org/henderson-approves-signaling-plan-for-silver-knights-arena-despite-opposition/

A group of neighbors who fought the construction of a minor league arena in Henderson at virtually every turn suffered another defeat this month when board members approved a signage plan for the site.

The ruling left the citizens’ group, the Henderson Coalition for Responsible Government, without an opportunity to appeal. But in the neighborhood, an underlying current of anger with city officials and the Vegas Golden Knights – owner of the American Hockey League team and operator of the arena – remains.

John Dalrymple, a spokesperson for the coalition, said the team wanted to take advantage of every square inch of the pitch and arena by placing signs everywhere.

“And it’s to the detriment of the community,” he said. Dalrymple said his coalition wanted the arena to fit into the residential neighborhood.

The group is made up of neighbors from the area surrounding the future residence of the Henderson Silver Knights. They have vehemently opposed the arena project since its announcement in February 2020.

When efforts to block construction of the arena failed, the group focused on thwarting a signage scheme that Dalrymple said went beyond what is permitted by city code.

Lobbyist James McCoy told Henderson City Council the team met with neighbors and agreed to some concessions, such as removing a large banner, reducing the brightness of LED signs to comply with city codes and reducing the size of many panels.

Golden Knights spokesman Nate Ewell said in a statement that the team had best addressed residents’ concerns and significantly altered the signage plan after getting feedback from neighbors.

“The Vegas Golden Knights are proud of the positive impact the Dollar Loan Center (arena) will have on the Henderson community,” said Ewell.

But Dalrymple argued the concessions did not go far enough and called for tighter restrictions on the number of panels that can be installed and the hours of operation on a large LED panel on the side of the building.

He said the team wanted to hang too many banners on the light poles and that the large free-standing letters that will spell out a sponsor’s name in the arena plaza are unnecessary.

A large LED sign on the building, Dalrymple explained to the city, could pose a distraction hazard at the intersection of Paseo Verde and Green Valley boardwalks if it is allowed to be turned on at 7 a.m. when children are going to. school nearby.

McCoy told city council that the landscaping at the intersection obscures the sign and that the building itself obstructs the view of the sign from another intersection that leads to schools.

He said the team might be willing to light the sign at 9 a.m., as Dalrymple’s group requested, but would prefer to keep it earlier during duty hours for a restaurant in the arena.

Ultimately, the board approved the signage plan on November 2 without adding Dalrymple’s requests. Councilor Dan Stewart, who opposed the project throughout the process, cast the only vote against the plan.

Henderson spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said in an email the team had made considerable concessions and the signage plan was appropriate for the location and consistent with what is already in the area.

The Golden Knights and the city share the cost of the arena equally.

Snowstorms, Cold War and “Glory”: A Successful Denver Film Festival Remembers Its History, Looks To Its Future http://fivecountyfair.org/snowstorms-cold-war-and-glory-a-successful-denver-film-festival-remembers-its-history-looks-to-its-future/ http://fivecountyfair.org/snowstorms-cold-war-and-glory-a-successful-denver-film-festival-remembers-its-history-looks-to-its-future/#respond Fri, 12 Nov 2021 11:01:53 +0000 http://fivecountyfair.org/snowstorms-cold-war-and-glory-a-successful-denver-film-festival-remembers-its-history-looks-to-its-future/

The group of moviegoers who would launch this first festival pooled their resources and contacts to launch the first festival. They called it “10 Days in May”, a play based on the title of John Frankenheimer’s film “Seven Days in May”. The first edition only had 78 films on its schedule, a solid lineup that would grow to over 200 titles over time at this year’s festival. The special guest of this first festival was director Robert Altman. His new film “A marriage»Concluded the festival this first year.

“We didn’t know if this would be successful, if people would come or if their critics would appreciate it, if the sponsor would get their money’s worth,” Henderson said. “And, to our surprise, it was an incredible success. “

The opening night of the festival was packed, as were many of the screenings that followed. That year, at the height of the Cold War, three Cuban films were shown at the festival: “The Last Supper” by Tomas Gutierrez, “Alicia” by Manuel D. Cousin and “Lucia” by Humberto Solas. Henderson recalled that showing the films was not without incident, especially during the height of the Cold War.

“On the first Friday of the festival, the first Cuban film was to be screened at Vogue,” he said. “We got a call at the festival office saying that if you were showing this film, a bomb would go off in the cinema. So the police sort of searched the theater, cleaned it up, and the show continued. “

Denver Film CEO James Mejia addresses a sold-out crowd here to see Rebekah Henderson’s film, “Running With My Girls,” which premiered at the Denver Film Festival at the Sie Film Center. November 11, 2021.

Cuban films were among the first of many international films to make it to Denver over the decades. The remaining years of the festival focused on Japanese, German and Canadian films. Henderson says the festival’s goal has always been to bring in films from outside the United States. Over time, the festival has grown from late spring to fall.

“We are one of the last festivals on the festival calendar. We are following New York, Toronto, Venice, Telluride, ”he said. “So all the hottest movies have reached the top. And we were trying to pick them up and share them with the Denver audience.

After their successful debut, the show continued. In its second edition, the festival honored Lillian Gish and documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman among a number of artists. Henderson recalls that a screening of “M * A * S * H” was crowded at the Paramount Theater in the festival’s fourth year.

“We had Alan Alda to open the festival, and he was at the peak of his popularity thanks to the M * A * S * H TV program,” he said. “There was a horde of people standing in front of him waiting for him. As soon as we got out of the limo, the crowd literally crashed, and this young girl, she must have been 13 or 14, gets up and grabs her by the neck. It was a little scary, but the Channel Seven cameraman sort of made his way through the crowd, into the theater and [Alda] at his seat.

Later, the festival planned to screen Gena Rowlands’ film “Gloria”, but instead received a Spanish copy of Denzel Washington’s film “Glory”. They had to scramble to find a way to keep people seated.

“If any of the audience chooses to leave, ask them to come back because Gena has nonetheless agreed to come and do a question-and-answer session,” Henderson told those in the theater. “So the audience stayed, she came back and spent about 30 minutes chatting with the audience.”

Crowds filter into the SIe Film Center to see Rebekah Henderson’s film, “Running With My Girls,” which premiered at the Denver Film Festival. November 11, 2021.

Over the course of its history, the Denver Film Festival has floated around the city and has been screened in various theaters. Henderson lists them: the Ogden, the Vogue, the Flick in Larimer Square, and many more. Eventually, the Denver Film Society, now known as Denver Film, found a permanent home at the Sie Film Center in Colfax.

Kevin Smith, director of marketing at Denver Film, knows many Henderson stories. One particularly unforgettable year, a snowstorm hit the city as it brought filmmakers from Australia.

“Some of the programming team went out and took the VHS tapes for the movies and brought them over and basically had an impromptu version of the film festival for anyone trapped in the Warwick. [Hotel] for a few days, ”he said. “We took the opportunity to say, ‘I would do that a little differently. Let’s make it fun for all these filmmakers that we brought in from all over the world ‘and that turned into some kind of party. ”

The festival will celebrate its 45th anniversary next year. Smith and his team are already considering the future of the festival and what could be in store for its 50th anniversary. One of those things to come: Organizers are taking a close look at diversity and equity as well as how to make the festival more inclusive, accessible and sustainable. Another idea is to bring the festival to the rest of Colorado.

“How do you tie all these pieces together so that there is a long-term foundation and it’s not just a short-term initiative?” Smith said. “If we ever want to grow more as an organization, we have to be in the community, spend a lot more time there and that will bring more people back with us. “

GLASGOW, Scotland – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Janus Henderson today announced the launch of a new series of reports on decarbonization and the role governments, businesses, capital markets and asset managers must play in facilitating the pursuit of the decarbonization around the world.

At the World Climate Summit in Glasgow on Monday, Janus Henderson convened a panel to discuss whether decarbonization could be an opportunity for emerging markets, rather than a challenge to be mitigated.

Paul LaCoursiere Global Head of ESG Investments at Janus Henderson who moderated Monday’s panel said: “Our panel was the starting point. There are success stories like Chile, where markets are already in the middle of their own decarbonization journey. Our reports will define the role that governments, businesses, capital markets and asset managers need to play in facilitating further decarbonization. The asset management industry is eager to play its part in solving the existential risk of climate change, but it cannot solve this problem alone. Our new series of reports will outline the role we all need to play in helping emerging markets go carbon free. ”

For the purposes of the report, emerging markets will be divided into four regions: Eastern Europe; Africa and the Middle East; Latin America and Asia. The first of four regional reports will be released in the first quarter of 2022.

The panel came to some bold conclusions:

Dr Nina Seega, Research Director at the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership (CISL): Financial market players and climatologists must recognize the gap that exists between their reflections on the carbon transition. As an economic community, we tend to think that the future will be linear and will largely follow the pattern of the past. Climate scientists think in terms of a disruptive transition. While financial analysts may worry about the effect the slow but steady carbon transition will have on the net present value of inherited assets, a climatologist will ask: what happens to the value of an asset? as part of a rapidly disruptive and potentially currency transition? Overall, this was an encouraging COP, but now I want to see more ambitious nationally determined contributions from governments.

Mark Cutifani, CEO of Anglo American Plc, said: “COP26 has firmly shifted the conversation from ‘Why? “To” How? ”Around decarbonation. We all understand that we have a collective role to play in tackling climate change and now the focus is on how we need to work in partnership with multiple stakeholders – such as governments, regulators, communities. local – to define the actions we need to take. We currently have several requests from asset owners to help us finance our various green projects and our CFO is studying these different financing options.

Krista Tukiainen, Head of Research at the Climate Bonds Initiative, said: “The bond space already has relatively good definitions and governance mechanisms to ensure that projects can be financed, but market-based mechanisms and policies can work best in tandem to impact emerging markets. My reflection on this COP is that the introduction of a global benchmark taxonomy is perhaps the most crucial element in enabling financial institutions to have a tangible impact on climate change and other sustainability priorities. as soon as possible. Taxonomies can help identify eligible projects even at the smallest levels and, if we can harmonize taxonomies in a dispersed market, this will ensure capital flows where they are needed.

Francisco López, Chilean Deputy Minister of Energy: “Chile’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 is a challenge, given the need to decouple our economic growth from energy use and reduce our dependence on imported fossil fuels. 77% of Chile’s greenhouse gas emissions are linked to the energy sector. However, it is the same sector that will help us fight climate change and provide social and economic opportunities for the country. The energy sector is leading Chile’s decarbonization plan and its commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 by investing in renewable energy, developing a green hydrogen industry, exiting coal-fired power plants by 2040, replacing fossil fuels with electricity in the transportation sector and aiming to have 100% electric light and medium vehicle sales by 2035, among others.
