Events happening in Reno to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) — For those who want to celebrate the luck of the Irish, Reno bars and local casinos will have several options to choose from.

Starting at 5 p.m. tonight, the Reno Brewing District will host the Tour de Brews event. A portion of ticket sales will go to the Northern Nevada Celtic Celebration taking place in May.

People can try craft drinks at places like Black Rabbit Mead, The Depot, or even grab a glass of wine at NV Sunset Winery. Live music and art will also be featured.

Corned beef, cabbage and other Irish delicacies can be found this St. Patrick’s Day at The Nugget, Bonanza Casino and Atlantis Casino, Resort & Spa.

Steve Sedillos, real estate mixologist at Atlantis, mentioned what people can expect on this holiday,

“Guinness, Killian’s Irish Red and Hart are in the spotlight. We offer Irish specialties in all our catering establishments. At the Manhattan Deli we offer a Guinness Stout Shepard’s Pie and in our Purple Parrot we will offer corned beef and cabbage. We have all kinds of things going on to get us in the spirit of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, Sedillos said.

RTC Transit will also offer free rides from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
