Henderson County man sentenced after pleading guilty to multiple b & e charges

A Henderson County man will spend at least 8 years behind bars following convictions for crimes such as break and enter and theft, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and the act of to be a habitual criminal.

HENDERSON COUNTY AUTHORITIES SHUT DOWN AFTER MULTIPLE STORAGE B&E REPORTS

Authorities say Duane Harold Burgess, 33, has pleaded to three counts of break and enter, two counts of theft after breaking and entering, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and complying with legal requirements of a habitual offender.

Burgess was sentenced to 8-10 years in prison.

Forensic records show the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office developed leads on several Henderson County heists through interviews, storage unit surveillance videos and pawnshop videos and receipts .

MAN FROM HENDERSONVILLE FACES MULTIPLE CHARGES IN DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION

As a result of their investigation, they obtained warrants to search the premises and for the arrest of Burgess.

After serving the warrants against Duane Burgess at his place of residence, MPs located numerous stolen items as well as firearms. The accused was a convicted felon and was prohibited from carrying a firearm.
