Logan Webb picks next Las Vegas Raiders head coach

When he’s not stopping some of baseball’s best attacks, SF Giants pitcher Logan Webb is an avid Sacramento Kings and Las Vegas Raiders fan. The latter made the news on Saturday after losing to the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the playoffs by a score of 26-19.

The Raiders will likely be looking for a new head coach after a whirlwind one season. Jon Gruden started the year as head coach, but resigned after damaging emails leaked to the public. It was replaced by Rich Bisaccia, who did a good job helping the Raiders qualify for the playoffs.

Interim head coaches do not often become the permanent replacements as they are usually tied to the previous regime. If the Raiders are going in a different direction, Webb has an idea of who the next Raiders coach should be:

It’s that time of year when Jim Harbaugh’s name comes up as a candidate for the next hiring round. There are currently seven vacant head coaching positions in the NFL with a potential eighth opening up depending on what the Raiders do with Bisaccia.

In the past, Harbaugh has been adamant that he is content to coach at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He’s been around since 2015, but the rumors for his NFL return are growing louder and Webb has joined the party.

Harbaugh was hired as head coach of the San Francisco Forty-Niners ahead of the 2011 season after a successful four-year run at Stanford University. He inherited a solid roster and enjoyed resounding success in the NFL, posting a 44-19-1 record in four seasons with the Niners. That included three trips to the conference championship game and a Super Bowl appearance in 2013.

However, he clashed early and often with the Niners general manager Thirty Baalke. In a move that remains questionable to this day, the CEO of Niners Jed York and Harbaugh agreed to mutually part ways. The official statement said it was mutual, but it was obvious that Harbaugh had been removed from his post.

Nonetheless, Harbaugh remains a hot target for teams, and that’s especially true this year as many teams are looking for a new voice. Logan Webb wants the Raiders to act quickly by making the former Niners coach the next Raiders head coach.
