Nevada Elks Lodge # 564 gives back to the youth of Vernon County.

The organization donates over $ 8,000 to four Vernon County school districts and two youth organizations.

“We have always strived to be a positive community partner here, not only in Nevada, but also in the county itself. We just want to foster community relations and help other regions achieve their goals, ”Meisenheimer said.

The Elks Lodge donated $ 2,500 to the Bronaugh R-VII School District for the purchase of adapted playground equipment and school supplies.

“We have music makers like a xylophone and drums and an adaptive swing for students who might need it. We are a small school and therefore whenever we have a need, sometimes we have to find them. So donations like this just help us do really great things like this, ”said Whitney Hinkle, Bronaugh R-VII Advisor.

The Vernon County Youth Fair received $ 2,500 for youth projects.

“The kids in the 4-H group are going to come to the fairground and do some painting and minor repairs on some of the facilities so that they can actually participate in what’s going on at the fairground,” said Dennis Bowling. , Chairman of the Vernon County Youth Fair Board.

Nevada Elks Lodge says it is an annual donation.

The lodge says it will continue to support small districts in Vernon County.
