Oppo Reno 7 Series India launch timeline announced – here’s what we know

The Oppo Reno 7 series debuted in China at the end of November 2021. Since then, there have been leaks and rumors regarding the series launch in India. Previous leaks suggested the series would launch in India by November 2022 alone. However, after that, a slew of new rumors mentioned that the Oppo Reno 7 series would launch in India by January 2022. In a recent development, the timeline for the launch of the Oppo Reno 7 series was revealed.

A report from MySmartPrice indicates that the Oppo Reno 7 series could hit the Indian market by late January or early February. According to the report, tipster Mukul Sharma revealed the timeline and he also spotted a poster for the upcoming Reno 7 series smartphones.

What to expect from the Oppo Reno 7 series?

The Oppo Reno 7 series will succeed the Oppo Reno 6 series which launched in July 2021. The Chinese variants of the two smartphones, Oppo Reno 7 and Oppo Reno 7 Pro, have already given a good idea of ​​what we can see at launch time in India.

Oppo Reno 7 is equipped with 6.43 inch FHD + AMOLED display and 90Hz refresh rate with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor with Adreno 642L GPU and runs on ColorOS 12 based on the Android 12 operating system. The device packs 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM coupled with 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage.

In terms of optics, Opo Reno 7 displays a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary shooter, 8MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and 2MP macro shooter. Up front, the smartphone sports a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls. It is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.

Oppo Reno 7 Pro comes with a slightly larger 6.55-inch AMOLED display and a 90Hz refresh rate. This one from Oppo has a flat screen instead of a curved screen that was offered in its predecessor. . The smartphone offers a maximum brightness of 920 nits as well as Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor coupled with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of on-board storage. The configuration of the front and rear cameras in the pro variant looks identical to that of the Oppo Reno 7. Both smartphones also have the same battery and charging capacity.
