Rangnick blocks Henderson loan, Araujo eyeing, Neville SLAMS Ronaldo, Burnley build-up

MORNING UNITED FANS

Edinson Cavani is pushing for a start as United aim to finish sixth with a home win over Burnley tonight.

Sub Cavani scored United’s goal in Monday’s 1-1 draw at Newcastle – after persuading Ralf Rangnick NOT to throw it.

Acting boss Rangnick said: “He didn’t feel comfortable playing from the start. He didn’t know how fit he really was.”

But the striker’s successful return from injury after 45 minutes means Mason Greenwood’s place is in jeopardy tonight.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are seen as realistic contenders to sign Barcelona star defender Ronald Araujo.

The Uruguayan hero is said to have a £ 168million release clause.

But Barca are believed to be struggling to persuade him to extend his contract beyond the summer of 2023.

Erling Haaland, long seen as United’s main target next summer, could be offered a double pay offer from Borussia Dortmund to stay

Real Madrid and Man City are also fond of the goal machine.

French winger Ousmane Dembele, long linked with Old Trafford, has rejected a new contract with Barca.

The Red Devils seemed determined to keep goaltender Dean Henderson next month.

Tottenham are among the clubs linked with David de Gea’s frustrated understudy.

Finally, Napoli want Axel Tuanzebe, although the Manchester United defender is on loan at Aston Villa for the season.
